Who Is Carmen?
Carmen is an internationally - recognized textured hair expert.
After overcoming her struggle with her natural hair, Carmen founded Brown Skin Women to help women simplify their relationship with their hair and improve their quality of life. She has helped thousands of women struggle less, save time and money, and feel more confident about their hair.
With a dedicated following of over 60,000 —and multiple instances of her story going viral—Carmen’s unique take on textured hair care has made her the go-to voice for women with tight textured hair.
Studies in Psychology fused with Natural Hair Care, Carmen owns a hair education studio, and educates about tight texture hair care. She is based in Connecticut, where she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, doing yoga, and obsessing over clean and simple living
