Guidelines to Creating a Media Kit

Having a well put together media kit will give your sponsorship program an edge over others with a similar audience, helping potential sponsors recognize the value of sponsoring you.

A media kit is a document the outlines key elements of who you are, what you do, how and why.

A great sponsorship kit is a wonderful tool for communicating with sponsors, but it also shows them that you know what you’re doing. A media kit is your best foot forward, professionally speaking (especially if it’s designed well)- and it will also help weed out businesses who really wouldn’t be a good match for your end goal. So you can quit wasting your time writing lengthy emails to “just anybody” who’s interested in sponsorship and focus on sponsors that will go the distance with you.

In this course we will explore:

  1. Outline to creating a Media Kit
  2. Best/free program and software to create it
  3. Creating your sponsorship policies
  4. Converting your Media Kit into email and print ready format

Additionally, I will share with you a real life example of my own media kit used to land my first sponsor and major magazine feature.
