Brown Skin Women youth expansion and new partnership

My heart is happy.  I launched the youth programs before I hosted any in person adult event back in 2013.  After three years of quarterly youth summits and annual youth weekend retreats, the time has come to expand and grow.

It is an honor and privilege to announce Brown Skin Women has expanded its Youth outreach by partnering with local nonprofit RiseUP.   Learn more about the collaboration here.
It is also an absolute blessing I get to do so with many of this amazingly supportive women on this networks.

Sisterhood.   I asked some of the ladies in our private Brown Skin Women Facebook group for help (a fear I’ve learned to overcome) and they showed UP. I would not be able to pull off my work which seems effortless, without the absolutely amazing women I am beyond blessed to have in my life. Thanks to these lovely ladies for their amazing energy, smiles and hugs. RiseUP’s 2nd and 3rd annual Cocktails for Change ran smoothly thanks to them (and others not photographed).

Our partnership will allow an expansion with the programs we offer under served youth in the community, our adult volunteer programs to assist with mentoring youth and events to help support the RiseUP nonprofit organization and partnership BSW Youth  programs.

Happy heart :).
